Run Buffs!

Shamelessly stolen from pretty much every MMORPG ever made, this world's vast environment and rewarding exploration justify the introduction of something that improves the speed of said exploration.

It could be basically anything... Potions with speed enhancements, NPCs in towns that grant a speed enhancing spell, possibly some other item that does it.
Just as long as it is not worn equipment - that would create a 'uniform' equipment piece, which everybody will want to have and possibly wear.

If possible, the speed buff could be suppressed for combat, in order to avoid punishing melee classes.

I think some form of potion of speed is reasonable. And ironically I think they can easily be found in treasures. If not I know they are located in Tharbad at this time? I was considering making a concoction of mixing found plants in game to creatue both a form of "masking potion" and a fleet feet potion? Suggestions for names and ingredients?

Elven Swiftfoot Lotion (Silence of the lambs joke optional)
+x to speed
Lesser and Greater versions from more easy/hard to get ingredients, to further reward bold exploration.

As for the masking potion, I can't seem to decide where I stand on that...
Granted, it's absurdly useful.
But... It takes the thrill out of exploration!

Edit: On the potion...
Actually, this could work quite well with the cooking.
Perhaps have the 'potions' be special soups or stews, prepared by the hobbits of the shire, who do love to travel... And know how to run away.
More sophisticated and/or rare ingredients would make for more powerful stews.

'Expeditious Retreat' would make a good short-term boost for something like 'dash' or 'sprint', maybe a 1/day use item for every character or something of the sort?
